ALAINA JOHNSON |
A Creation of Man The sun fell down in a million different colors And I guess Im only angry that I couldnt count them all at once Just shattered glass along a countryside... A hand reached out to me. He said Sorry for the sonnets Since he spoke to me in sonnets But that was just his program so I Turned it all down... And last night I thought I felt the world turn. Somewhere a scientist is sinning Playing God with black magic and baby Jesus -- The rain continues crying As he closes his umbrella. And everyone is watching As he opens up his overcoat And carvest the infant heart out Made to feel concrete surroundings. - Daddy Never sit waiting for the right moment -- Its not likely it will ever come. And I rather blend quite nicely Into this crowd of people, Licking my ice cream. Its any other day... But I was waiting for my father And hes a rabbit in a snowstorm, And hes running very late. I will take his foot off, And when the storm blows over I will keep it for good luck. |
